WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) joined Representatives Lou Correa (CA-46) and Chuy García (IL-04) in a letter to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and USCIS Director Joseph Edlow urging DHS to reduce delays in processing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewal requests.

Orange County, CA – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) presented $250,000 in federal funding he secured to support the construction of 2,700 permanent affordable housing units across Orange County. The Congressman was joined by Orange County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Katrina Foley to present the federal Community Project Funding to the Orange County Housing Finance Trust.

Washington, DC– U.S. Representatives Derek Tran (CA-45) and Chuy García (IL-04) introduced legislation to protect American families from debt in the aftermath of devastating truck crashes. The Fair Compensation for Truck Crash Victims Act will strengthen insurance requirements for interstate motor carriers, reducing the financial burden on truck crash victims facing lifelong injuries or the loss of a loved one.

Orange County, CA – Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) announced that his congressional casework operation has successfully recovered more than $5 million in federal benefits for constituents across Orange and LA Counties. 

Representative Tran's casework team has worked directly with constituents to cut through bureaucratic delays and secure benefits such as delayed Social Security payments, outstanding tax refunds, and Veterans' pensions.

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) joined fellow Veterans Representatives Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06) and Maggie Goodlander (NH-01) to introduce legislation to protect women’s ability to serve in the armed forces. The Women Add Resourcefulness and Resilience to Improve Operational Readiness (WARRIOR) Act codifies women’s role in combat by creating gender-neutral evaluation standards for service members and preventing the exclusion of women in roles across the military.
