Key Information

• Orange County Fire Authority crews confirmed a leak of a toxic and flammable chemical from an aerospace facility in Garden Grove.
• First responders have successfully stabilized two tanks of hazardous methyl methacrylate at the GKN Aerospace facility, but the remaining tank still poses an imminent threat of leakage or explosion.
• Cities most directly impacted include Cypress, Stanton, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Westminster, and Buena Park.
• Potential symptoms of exposure to the chemical are respiratory irritation, skin and eye irritation. Potential long-term health impacts are currently unknown.
