Washington, DC – U.S. Representatives Derek Tran (CA-45) and Kathy Castor (FL-14) introduced legislation to restore continuous access to health care coverage for eligible children enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP. Earlier this month, Congressional Republicans passed into law the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill”, which included a provision that will allow states to impose arbitrary lock-out periods, and annual and lifetime dollar limits.

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) joined Congressional Dads Caucus Chair Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) and fellow members of the Congressional Dads Caucus to unveil a new six-bill legislative package as a part of their Babies Over Billionaires initiative, a push to lower costs for working families by eliminating harmful tariffs on essential baby products.

Each bill in the package, introduced by a different member of the Dads Caucus, targets a specific category of baby essentials.

The legislation requires the Department of Defense (DOD) to make drastic cuts, undermining U.S. military readiness by eliminating key civil service positions within DOD, limiting health care access for service members, and empowering our global adversaries by cutting resources to allied forces abroad.
