Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) voted to advance the FY26 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) out of the House Armed Services Committee. The bill, which authorizes $882.6 billion in discretionary defense spending, includes multiple provisions supported by Tran to support military readiness, servicemember quality of life, and community enrichment programs based in Southern California.

The bill lowers prescription drug prices for working families and protects patients and community pharmacies by requiring additional transparency and accountability from pharmacy benefit managers (PBM).

Washington, DC – Representative Derek Tran joined Representatives Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Maggie Goodlander (NH-02) calling on House leadership to fully fund a critical program that combats drug trafficking in high-risk areas. The High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program provides essential coordination assistance to federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to intercept drug trafficking operations.

The legislation represents the largest cut to health care in American history.

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) joined members of the California Congressional Delegation in cosponsoring a Congressional Resolution to express concern regarding President Trump’s deployment of federal troops to recent demonstrations in Los Angeles without coordinating with state and local officials. The resolution reaffirms support for state and local law enforcement and the people’s First Amendment right to peaceful protest.
