“Hundreds of thousands of public safety officials across our country serve and protect our communities every day, often at great personal risk. This bipartisan resolution honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities safe and ensures that the legacy of our fallen heroes will never be forgotten,” said Representative Tran. “I couldn’t be prouder to stand with our local law enforcement heroes during National Police Week, and I’ll never stop fighting for the resources they need to keep themselves, and our families, safe.”

The resolution, introduced by Representatives Michael Guest (MS-03) and Chris Pappas (NH-01), honors the service and sacrifice of the 363 peace officers killed in the line of duty in 2025, and acknowledges the need for adequate training and resources to protect law enforcement officers as they work to protect the public.
