Representative Tran Issues Statement Following Vote to Table Articles of Impeachment
Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) released a statement following his vote to table articles of impeachment brought against President Trump:
“Today, along with 47 of my Democratic colleagues, I voted present on the motion to table a resolution to impeach President Trump. It is clear that President Trump must be held accountable for his abuse of power and failure to put American families first, but initiating this impeachment now will allow Republicans, who control the House, Senate, and White House, to make a mockery of the process. The American people deserve clarity and stability from Washington, not more pointless political games. I’m staying focused on the issues that matter to California families - lowering the cost of groceries, utilities, and housing - and making sure families can access the health care they need to thrive.”
